Kirigakure is located in the Land of Water. Kirigakure has a Kage as its leader known as the Mizukage. An unusually high number of missing-nin seem to originate from this village. A unique classification of ninja known as hunter-nin are specifically tasked with eliminating these defectors.

Kumogakure is located in the Land of Lightning. Kumogakure has a Kage as its leader known as the Raikage. Use of lightning release techniques and swords seem to be common of ninja from this village. The village is located in a range of tall mountains, and is literally hidden in the clouds.

Iwagakure is located in the Land of Earth. Iwagakure has a Kage as its leader known as the Tsuchikage. Iwagakure is well-known for the rock-hard attitude of its shinobi; as soon as the Tsuchikage gives an order, the Iwa-nin do so without hesitating, even if it means death.

Amegakure is a small yet highly industrialized hidden village located in an unnamed country. As its name suggests, it rains almost constantly due to a storm above the village. Many shinobi from this village seem to wear a kind of mask that allows them to breathe underwater.

Hoshigakure is one of the lesser-known Shinobi Villages. Hoshigakure was formed sometime after a strange meteorite, which the inhabitants called the "star," struck its location 200 years earlier. Information gathered from the villagers suggests the village isn't much older than Konoha.

Kusagakure is located between the Land of Fire and Earth. Unlike other villages, Grass takes up the entire country instead of being a mere part. The country is rich with forests, some consisting of giant mushrooms or bamboo. It also seems to have many rivers and deep ravines.

Takigakure; despite being surrounded by four other lands has never successfully been invaded. In terms of the village's appearance, Takigakure seems to be based on mostly Southeast Asian aesthetics. The ninja of this village seem to specialize in water-based jutsu.

The Land of Waves is a nation located on an island near the Land of Fire; it does not have a hidden village, relying on seeking assistance from other Hidden Villages like Konohagakure. Though an isolated island, relying on shipping for commerce and trade, it is prosperous.

A small country by stature, the Land of Tea is known for its temperate climate, rolling hills and wide open plains. As its name suggests the most abundant crop grown here in this peaceful land is dozens of different types of tea leaves. The land has no ninja of its own and relies upon Konoha.

The Land of Birds is a small country. As its name suggests the country earned its name from the large amount of birds which migrate here every year. This is the only place in which some of the rarest birds can be found, as such it has evolved into a tourist attraction.

The Land of Swamps is a country located near the Land of Demons. This country is allied with the Land of Fire. Rising our of the miles of endless, hot, heavy, dense swamp is a massive mountain chain. The population of this land resides in villages built on the mountains.

A vast expanse of forests, mountain ranges, plains and vallies, the population of these beautiful lands is very small. Few people dare to live in the land which proved the birth place of the great tailed beasts. After their release they have returned to their home lands and entered into a hibernation.
